1. Do the Adventure Holidays Include Flights?

Answer Some Trips include Flights and this will be specified in the packages. When trips don't include flights we will co-ordinate with you to advise best flight time and connections to get you to the start location. Your Guide's flight details will be given to you as well if you would like to travel with them. In most cases people are extending their time away either before or after our kayaking Adventures or using frequent flyer points or like to travel with a specific carrier so we like to leave this flexible for you.

2. Do the packages include Travel Insurance?

Answer Our Travel packages don't include the cost of Travel Insurance as we like to leave this flexible for your extra travel plans. We do however HIGHLY recommend you take out adequate cover including emergency evacuation insurance as most of the areas we visit are remote and would incur very high emergency medical costs without the correct travel insurance. We can help advise the right coverage at the time of booking.

3. Do you provide a List of Items to bring?

Answer Yes we will provide you with an extensive list of "Things to Bring" and "Things that are supplied" on all of our Sea Kayaking Adventures Travel Holidays. These will be specific to the Adventure but will generally only refer to your own personal clothing. All Sea Kayaking equipment is supplied and if the trip includes camping, tents, thermarests and in most cases sleeping bags will be provided.

4. Is the accommodation shared or single?

Answer Where Hotel accommodation is booked the arrangement is Twin Share and when camping individual tents are supplied in most cases.

5. Can you cater for special meal requirements?

AnswerYes. There is a special requirements section to our booking page where you can provide us with that information and this will be recorded and applied during our preparation for the trip.

6. What kayaking experience do I need?

Answer We cater for all levels of paddling ability and while no previous experience is necessary we recommend that you attend some paddling trips with us and some basic training so you are comfortable in a Sea Kayak and the conditions you can expect on the trip. This will allow you and the group you are with to get the maximum fun from your chosen adventure.

7. What level of fitness is required?

Answer We recommend an average level of fitness. If you can walk at a responsibly quick pace for 30min then this is a good measure. Again we recommend doing some paddling training with us so are familiar with the endurance level required for the distances paddled on the trips.

8. How much paddling will there be everyday?

Answer We recommend an average level of fitness. If you can walk at a reasonably quick pace for 30min then this is a good measure. Again we recommend doing some paddling training with us so are familiar with the endurance level and basic safety experience required for the adventures ahead.

9. How do I book?

Answer Bookings can be made directly through the web site with a Visa or Mastercard  at the specific booking pages for each tour, or by Direct Deposit to our Trading Account.  If booking more than 90 days from the Tour departure date a deposit is all that is required to confirm your place. The amount will vary depending on the tour. In some cases when the tour is leaving within 90 days payment in full may be required. An automated confirmation email will be sent out and followed up by a personal welcome email from your Adventure Guide with further details on flight information and list of things to bring.

10. Are the tours in Double or Single kayaks?

Answer A mixture of Single and Double Sea Kayaks are used on all tours for safety and moving the required amount of equipment each day. We will ensure that we swap paddlers around so they get to enjoy time in both.

11. What Amenities are available when camping?

Answer Tours that incorporate camping components will have a mixture of amenities required for use from flush toilets, composting toilets to bush toileting arrangements. This can be detailed to you in relation to the tour specifically.

12. Is there a Terms and Conditions Policy for the Packages?

Answer Please Read our Terms And Conditions of booking Policy prior to booking. Many aspects of our Tours are booked annd paid for up to 12 months in advance and all deposits are non - refundable.

"Like SKJB, i too took the plunge (but as a customer) & signed up for the Misty Fjords Trip in Southern Alaska, The Mothership trip into the Great Bear Rainforest in BC and the Broughton Archipeligo also in BC. It was their first time putting the first 2 trips together. Maybe it was the enthusiasm of Ross and his team that hooked me in, whatever it was, I enjoyed every single moment in these awesome places on our planet which I may never have experienced without the leadership, dedication to service and enthusiasm that the Team at SKJB have for their passion of exploring special destinations. Don't hesitate to sign up for one of their trips, just do it. I doubt it will be regretted. Dave Macquart, Beaumont NSW.Australia."

"I have been paddling in the Jervis Bay area, as well as in other areas of Australia and abroad, with the wonderful team from Sea Kayak Jervis Bay for over five years. Their professionalism, skill, knowledge and attention to detail ensure a safe and enjoyable expedition each and every time – no matter where. Kayaking has become a passion, and the dedication I have for my paddling rests solely on the proficiencies I have been taught by this wonderful team. I could not recommend Sea Kayak Jervis Bay more – it’s a group of dedicated experts that you would be hard pressed to find anywhere else and I am proud to call them friends. "In July 2015 I spent 10 days on a kayaking tour of the Broughton Archipelago out of Telegraph Cove, British Columbia with Sea Kayak Jervis Bay. What a spectacular region to explore in a kayak. The tour guides of Spirit of the West were very experienced in local knowledge and so was our tour organizer Ross Boardman of SKJB who accompanied us, as he has spent so many summers paddling and exploring the region.
The food cooked by our guides was amazing. The camping gear and kayaks provided for the tour were all of excellent quality. Island hopping and camping in a new location each night was a real treat. So fascinating to go to sleep each night to the sound of the local humpback and killer whales. I would highly recommend this tour to anyone who loves to paddle. I will definitely be going back! Thanks SKJB for an amazing holiday!"

"I had my best ever (so far) kayaking experience on SKJB's Broughton Archipelago trip July this year. The rocky forest covered islands, sitting in the blue water with the mountains in the background were both beautiful and incredibly peaceful. The wildlife we saw was amazing and included whales, seals and eagles. While camped on White Cliff island we were able to watch a couple of whales feeding just off the island for over 30 minutes!
The paddling was easy and the guides looked after everything each of the 5 nights we were out. The food was good and there was always plenty of it. After we got back to Telegraph Cove some of us also did the half day a whale watching cruise and I got some great photos of the Orcas. Some others did the full day Grizzly Bear trip.
SKJB organised everything (except the whale cruise,) from meeting in Victoria, the drive to Telegraph cove and then all the gear and local guides and then finally back to Victoria for a farewell dinner with everyone. Fabulous, thanks Ross."
